Sclerotherapy
Since the 1930’s, Sclerotherapy has been used for treating small spider veins on the legs.
The method involves injecting a sclerosing solution directly into the vessel, which irritates the lining of the vessel ultimately sealing it off.

The appearance of the spider vein then diminishes over a period of weeks. Each blood vessel may require multiple treatments; however, patients can expect a 60-80% improvement overall.
