There is no question that I see a HUGE difference in the appearance of my skin. I feel I can walk outside of the house without makeup on. My best friend who has always had perfect skin said “Gosh, you look great! What did you do to your skin?” after I had 4 treatments. I feel so good about my skin and you can quote me on that.

Facials

Our aestheticians here at Silverberg Surgical & Medical Group offer a number of soothing and effective facials that are customized to the individual for the best possible outcome. We deeply cleanse and hydrate the skin, massage facial areas to stimulate healthy circulation, and utilize top-of-the-line skin care products to give the skin a smoother and more refreshed appearance. Our facials include optimum hydration options, extraction and purification procedures, and treatments designed for all skin types.

Pulse Peels

Skin affected by sun damage, blotchy discoloration, wrinkling, and actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous areas with a rough or red appearance) can be effectively treated with Pulse Peels. This glycolic acid peel is applied to facial skin and left there for two to seven minutes. Once the peel is taken off, a topical chemotherapeutic cream is placed on the skin to target any pre-cancerous cells in specific areas. You can remove the cream after at least 12 hours. The Pulse Peel process is repeated every 15 days over a series of four to six treatments for the best possible results. After the entire cycle of treatment, patients typically experience noticeable improvement in texture and appearance of the skin, and pre-cancerous spots are often no longer visible. Pulse Peels may also target and destroy “pre-clinical” actinic keratoses before they even have a chance to appear on the skin.

Beta Peels

Beta Hydroxy Acid peels use salicylic acid to produce an even stronger facial peel than those that use Alpha Hydroxy acids. The salicylic acid solution in a Beta peel is safe to use even in patients who have darker skin tones and is particularly effective in rejuvenating areas with melisma, brown spots, and other pigmentation issues. This peel typically causes only mild flaking over a period of about a week, and requires no downtime after treatment. In our experience, we have found that Beta peels give provide healthier, fresher skin and can be very effective for those who experience problems with acne, moderate sun damage, and irregular pigmentation.

TCA Chemical Peels (done by physician vs. aesthetician)

TCA chemical peels are performed by physicians here at Silverberg Surgical & Medical Group, rather than an aesthetician. One of the most popular facial peels available, TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peels are composed of a non-toxic chemical that focus on the top few layers of the skin. They can be very effective at rejuvenating blotchy areas and those affected by pigmentation, as well as areas marked by sun damage and fine lines. The entire TCA chemical peel procedure takes about 45 minutes to complete. Patients typically require about seven days to completely heal from a TCA chemical peel, followed by a feeling of fresh, smooth, healthier skin.

Glycolic Peels

Also known as our “Lunchtime Peel,” this Alpha Hydroxy Acid chemical peel can be performed very quickly and typically does not require you to take extra time off work. Using glycolic and other acids from fruits and plants, this facial peel gets rid of dead skin cells on surface layers and stimulates new cell growth. With a glycolic peel, you can experience healthier-looking skin and a more youthful sheen.

Jessner Peel

Jessner Peels are composed of recorcinol, salicylic and lactic acids, and other ingredients which have long been used by dermatologists to promote superficial facial peeling. This is a medium-depth skin peel that is designed to improve the texture and tone of the skin, in addition to rejuvenating the appearance of wrinkles, lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, and help clear actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous lesions). Severe acne and sun damage can also be improved with the Jessner skin peel. This treatment will typically cause some flaking and skin exfoliation for about one week; however, most patients experience no downtime after this procedure and can immediately resume normal daily activities.

Microdermabrasion/Dermal Peels

The Derma Peel, also commonly known as Microdermabrasion, can be a highly effective treatment to rid surface skin layers of dead cells and bring out the healthier skin layers underneath. Using a hand-held wand, our aesthetician will spread a fine layer of aluminum oxide crystals across the areas targeted for rejuvenation. This method can improve skin that is affected by sun damage, age spots, wrinkles, and even acne. The entire procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete and does not require downtime. With microdermabrasion, patients can often have the treatment and then immediately resume normal daily activities.

Omnilux Blue and Red Light

Acne is a problem that many of us face from adolescence on into adulthood; however, the state-of-the-art Omnilux Blue and Red Light acne treatment can work wonders to diminish acne’s effect on your appearance. This innovative treatment uses high-intensity LED light therapy to stimulate natural chemicals found in P. acnes bacteria, a common cause of acne. The light prompts these chemicals to destroy the bacteria and help the skin heal itself from the damage that’s been caused. A large number of patients who undergo Omnilux Blue and Red Light acne treatment see significant improvement after about four weeks of treatments.

Oxygen Facials

Oxygen facials utilize medical grade oxygen to stimulate new collagen growth in the skin. The treatment involves spraying oxygen along the face with a high-pressure wand, penetrating into dermal layers and helping the skin to renew itself. Oxygen facials can be very effective at providing deep moisturization and hydration to skin layers, giving them a smoother appearance and diminishing small imperfections.
