Thermage®
Thermage® can be an effective procedure to help tighten the skin and give it a smoother, more youthful and toned appearance. By generating heat in the deeper skin layers, while maintaining coolness on the upper layers, the radiofrequency waves created by Thermage® ultimately stimulate collagen fibers that can result in a visible tightening of the skin. This procedure is often performed to rejuvenate the forehead and jowls, and can also be effective in the treatment of severe recalcitrant acne.
No downtime or recovery is typically required after Thermage® treatment. Results will likely appear gradually over a three to six month period; however, some patients have experienced earlier results. Although one treatment with Thermage® will typically produce results, further treatment sessions may provide a more significant outcome. With Thermage®, the stimulation of collagen may last for years in some patients, helping to renew the skin for a long time to come.
